“We have a large pool of high caliber candidates. Why should we offer you this position?”(Why do you think you are a better candidate than others?)
“我们有许多优秀的应聘者。为什么我们要雇佣你？”(为什么你认为你比其他的应聘者更出色？)
该问题是在测试应聘者的应变能力和自信能力，特别是强烈的竞争意识。思维反应和综合能力在回答这个问题时也能得到充分展现。在前面的面试中，应聘者已经有足够的机会展露其才华和水平。这个问题无非是用不同的方式、不同的语言来归纳总结应聘者的优点。如果应聘者喋喋不休重复已经讲过的话，那就不是“孺子可教”了。
遇到这样的问题，回答一定要简明扼要，言简意赅。要注意策略，不要过分炫耀，要真诚，要讲你的贡献怎么同学院的愿景能天衣无缝地连接在一起，要讲你的专长怎么同其他同事能互补。不要攻击其他应聘者。这也是测量一个人品质的时候。如果其他应聘者水平高，而最终你被聘用了，表明你的水平更高。面对竞争对手只会诋毁，比自己强的就妒忌，正是所谓的文人相轻，对应聘求职与事无补!那是一种人格不完善和修养不到家的表现。

不要简单重复，包括面试主考官的提问，你也要仔细认真Paraphrase。他（们）用“high caliber，”你表达同样的意思，但是选择使用“highly qualified”；他（们）用“better candidate than others，”你干脆直截了当，使用“I am the best candidate”；回答这个问题，是在考验你的总结概括能力和应变能力，言简意赅和突出重点是关键。
