根據我觀察的西安
（零八年在西安渡過一個月，在經歷一段工作的摧殘後，我選擇了長安歷史古都作為療傷之處）
西安城呈長方形，上下左右正中間交叉處是著名的鼓樓，鐘樓及廣場，很吸引年輕人聚集，時髦光鮮充滿國際名牌精品品牌的南北大街，讓人忘記這裡是西安。
城的四面是唐朝及明朝遺留，經過政府維修的城牆，據說西安城牆是全中國保持最完整的城牆，繞城牆一周是13多公里，四周城外環繞著護城河，而城牆及護城河之間又是精心策劃的公園，充滿花香的樹木花草，使人忘記一切煩惱。
傍晚登上城牆從不同角度望下去，可以看到人們三三兩兩或全家人愉快的活動著，有打桌球及跳舞的男男女女，有聊天的媽媽們，有一對一對攜手散步的情侶，有追逐嘻笑的孩童們，角落有自彈自唱外來的年輕歌手，有坐輪椅的老人被推著散步著，也有吊嗓練秦腔的長者們。
西安的祖先們留下不計其數的古蹟歷史，現代化的環境設施，便利的公交，是個得天獨厚的城市。
喧囂熱鬧的回民街，顧名思義是清真為主的吃食，到處是牛肉麵，牛雜湯，牛肉羊肉饃，涼皮涼粉，烤羊肉串 還有數以萬計的土產攤販小店面。
受年輕人喜愛的永興舫，更是充滿各地特色的食物，皮影戲，彷彿愈是擁擠愈受歡迎，處處可見的夜市，沒有惡性推銷拉客的商家，外人也可以和本地人一樣自在的逛夜市吃美食購物，一點也沒有辜負長安的盛名。
西安也有發展中國家的問題煩惱，天氣預報常常註明欠佳的霧霾天氣，不適合室外活動，可是據說比起之前已經大大的改善，人們早已經習慣而不覺得不適。
外來的人雖然厭惡一些當地人的壞習慣，例如在公眾場合肆無忌憚吸菸，上車爭先強後，但是低廉的物價又足以讓人勉強暫時容忍它。
Xi'an according my observations
The city of Xi’an is rectangular, with the famous Drum Tower, Bell Tower and Square in the middle intersection. It is a perfect spot for young people to meet up.The fashionable and glamorous North and South Streets are filled with international brand name stores and restaurants. It’s hard to believe this is Xi’an.
The city is surrounded by the remains of the Tang and Ming dynasties city walls, it is said to be the best reserved ancient city walls in China. The perimeter around the city wall is more than 13 kilometers, outside of the city walls surrounded by moats which is more like a river now. The well-planned long park in between filled with relaxing flowers and trees.
In the evening, ascend the city wall and look down from different angles. You can see all kinds of people hanging out. There are men and women playing billiards and dancing, there are mothers who share the gossip, couples who share their dreams, children laughing and playing, nostalgic young singer singing with guitar in the corners, elderly in wheelchairs accompanied by families, and some were just people watching.
XI’an city has so mush to offer, there are countless historical monuments histories, modernized environment, and convenient public transportation system, all of this makes the city beautiful and unique.
The bustling Muslim Street, as its name suggests, is halal-based eating, full of beef lambs, noodles, beef stew and mutton soup, cold jelly noodles, kebabs, and hundreds of local street vendors.
The Yongxing Temple, which is loved by young people, is full of foods with local characteristics. It seems that the more crowded it is, the more popular it gets. The night market is everywhere. There are no vicious sales solicitors. Outsiders can walk around the night market as easily as locals. Gourmet and shopping did not fail Chang'an's reputation.
Xi'an is also troubled by the problems of developing countries. The weather forecast often indicates poor haze weather and is not suitable for outdoor activities. However, people feel a lot of improvement has made recently, now no one complains about it anymore.
Although foreigners are disgusted with the bad habits of some local people, such as unscrupulous smoking in public places, and getting on front of the buses and undergrounds. The inexpensive spending alone is enough to make people temporarily tolerate the discomfort from the negativities.
